Moving Your Real Estate Team to CrossView Realty in Jacksonville

Can You Move Your Real Estate Team to a New Brokerage?

‍ ‍

Yes. When you move your team to CrossView Realty, you keep your database, your leadership role, and your personal or team brand — the same way you would with any brokerage move. CrossView structures team support into four tiers based on size, from two-person partnerships up to mega teams of 13 or more, each with the systems and cap structure that fit that scale.

‍‍ ‍

If you've built a team, the question isn't really "can I switch brokerages." It's "what happens to the thing I built if I do."

‍ ‍

That's a fair question, and it deserves a real answer instead of a vague reassurance. Here's exactly how it works.

‍ ‍

How CrossView Realty's Team Tiers Work

‍ ‍

Not every team looks the same, so we don't force every team into the same structure. There are four tiers built around team size and how self-sufficient your business already is:

‍ ‍

  • Tier 4 — Partnership. For two-person partnerships — spouses, family members, or business partners — building a business together. Qualifying requires a combined 15+ homes closed in the last 24 months. Partners generate their own business, get full access to CrossView's systems and tools, and operate under a commission cap.

  • Tier 5 — Micro Teams (2–6 people). Built for a rainmaker agent leading a small, tight-knit group and leveraging their own database to drive business. Systems access is à la carte rather than included, and the tier carries its own commission cap.

  • Tier 6 — Medium Teams (7–12 people). The next step up for a rainmaker who's outgrown the micro team model — more reach, same database-driven approach, same cap structure.

  • Tier 7 — Mega Teams (13+ people). For a rainmaker whose team is already a fully self-sufficient operation — one that could function as its own brokerage — but chooses to stay connected to a brand, culture, and community instead of going independent entirely.

‍ ‍

Across every team tier, licensed agents on your team are paid through the brokerage, and any unlicensed staff — admin, ISAs, transaction support — are paid directly by you as the team lead. You stay the leader. We provide the framework around you.

‍ ‍

What Stays the Same When You Move Your Team

‍ ‍

The parts of your business you've spent years building don't reset when you change brokerages:

‍ ‍

  • Your database. It's yours. Nobody at CrossView owns your sphere of influence or your past client relationships.

  • Your leadership role. As the rainmaker, you're still the one mentoring, managing, and setting expectations for your group — the brokerage doesn't insert itself between you and your team.

  • Your personal or team brand. You can keep operating under your established name and reputation.

‍ ‍

One thing that does have to change, and it's worth being upfront about: Florida real estate advertising rules require the brokerage name to appear alongside any personal or team name in your marketing. So your brand can stay front and center, but CrossView Realty has to be identified as the brokerage of record in your advertising — that's a state requirement, not a CrossView policy, and it applies no matter which brokerage you're with.

‍ ‍

Every team also gets company branding, signage, and marketing materials as part of the move — and unlike some team structures, you get credit for your own sales, not your team lead's numbers folded into someone else's production.

‍ ‍

Why Reputation Matters When You Move a Team

‍ ‍

Moving a team is disruptive by nature — new systems, new paperwork, a new name on the sign. If you're going to absorb that disruption, it should buy you something real: a database that stays intact, a brokerage with no franchise fees eating into what your team produces, and a name in the market that makes the move look like an upgrade to your clients and your agents, not a lateral shuffle.

‍ ‍

That's the difference between switching brokerages and switching to a better one. If your current setup has you questioning whether it's time to outgrow your team's current structure altogether, that's worth a direct conversation before you decide what the next move looks like.

Frequently Asked Questions

‍ ‍

Can I keep my team when I switch real estate brokerages?

‍ ‍

Yes. CrossView Realty's team tiers — Partnership, Micro, Medium, and Mega — are built specifically for agents moving an existing team, not just individuals. You keep your leadership role and your team structure.

‍ ‍

What size does my team need to be to qualify for CrossView's team tiers?

‍ ‍

It depends on the tier: two-person partnerships need a combined 15+ homes closed in the last 24 months, Micro Teams run 2–6 people, Medium Teams run 7–12, and Mega Teams are 13 or more.

‍ ‍

Do I have to use CrossView's name in my marketing?

‍ ‍

Florida advertising rules require the brokerage name to appear alongside any personal or team branding. You can keep your own name and identity — CrossView Realty is identified as the brokerage of record alongside it.

‍ ‍

Who pays my team's unlicensed staff after I move?

‍ ‍

You do, directly, as the team lead. Licensed agents on your team are paid through the brokerage; unlicensed staff like admin or ISAs are paid by you.

‍ ‍

Can I keep using my own database and systems?

‍ ‍

Yes. Your database belongs to you. Depending on your tier, you can also add CrossView's systems and tools à la carte or use your own.
